In the stagnant bays of the Amur River a beautiful plant Nymphoides peltate is blossoming. In English it is called yellow floating-heart or fringed water-lily. The willows along the water edge had died during the record flood of 2013.
The round leaves of this plant are forming thick cover, which the fish is using to hide.
