Tugur River in June

At the end of June, I had a trip to the Tugur basin - to its main source, the Konin River. Snow was melting at the headwaters of the rivers and, as is often the case in June, it rained. In general, the water in the rivers was high - on some days a meter and a half above low water. The taiga-type Konin was suitable for fishing, but in the mountainous rivers flowing into it, Munikan and Assyni, the water was high and muddy. The fishing because of the flood turned out to be difficult - not as easy as it happens in June in low water. In addition, large taimen practically did not show activity. We were fishing mostly near the banks, using poppers or on lightweight streamers. It was not possible to catch large, trophy taimen. In addition to taimen, pike and lenok were biting the same flies. Grayling was rising, but I was not trying to catch it - I was aiming at something bigger.
